PASTURES OF PLENTY

Hey, Y'all! This is gonna be a post with lots of pics and not many words...which is really weird for me because as y'all know, I'm a wordy broad! But sometimes, pictures just tell the story better than words. GASP! Yes, it's true...sometimes.. and this is one of those times.

Twas the night before ZAPP HALL ANTIQUE SHOW and all through the pastures JUNK lined the roads instead of tractors and thrashers (sorry!) enough of my pathetic poetic attempt. Here's a few pics taken yesterday before ZAPP HALL ANTIQUE SHOW opened TODAY. This incredible show runs through next week and don't forget the other fantastic shows in the PASTURES OF PLENTY...lots of junk...so little time, sweet friends!

IT'S FALL, Y'ALL--TIME FOR AUTUMN JUNKIN' SEASON!

Hey,Y'all! Fall in south central Texas can only mean one thing...well, uh, make that TWO things...FOOTBALL and ANTIQUES WEEK(S)! Since this is a JUNKIN' blog and not a sports blog, you probably know where this is going. :) So load up those shopping carts, grab your best friends and make the trek to where the cow pastures turn into miles of JUNKIN' WONDERLAND!

Here's how it happens.

You take some lonely stretch of blacktop winding over gentle hills, past ancient live oaks, and through sleepy little towns. Add a huge pinch of creativity and some of the WORLD'S best antiques and vintage dealers, and like Cinderella's pumpkin turned to glittery coach...Voila!
