SATURDAY SERENDIPITY

Hey, Y'all!
One of my favorite words is "serendipity" which according to Merriam-Webster's Dictionary is a noun meaning "good luck in finding things not sought for." No wonder this is one of my favorite words! Y'all know how much I enjoy finding things "not sought for," so when we headed to the Montgomery Texas Antiques Festival, I figured we'd find some great treasures, but I had no idea what a memorable experience we would have.
We caught up with our good friends at Huntsville Antique Show and shopped their booth full of all kinds of wonderfulness.

We explored more cool items at other vendor booths under the big white tents.

Able's Mercantile & Exchange had a great booth full of incredible finds and wonderful signs.

Next to Able's I found a couple of hands.

Montgomery is an historic Texas town full of gracious old homes, quirky cottages, and this cute outhouse.

As we headed back to our car we passed honeysuckle so fragrant that the bees were happy dancing and we were both suddenly taken back to pleasant childhood memories of long summer days spent playing outside. We stood there taking in the nostalgic fragrance of summer and remembering.

We went back downtown to pick up our treasures and passed a little cottage on the corner embraced by lush gardens. It appeared to be a tea

room and it was open. I commented that it would be fun to go to it someday and my sweet hubby replied, "Why wait? Let's go have lunch." It sounded reasonable to me, so we did.

In the middle of a busy day at the beginning of a very busy month for our family, we took the time to relax and enjoy the moment.

We sat on the porch and had a beautiful lunch enjoying the cool rose scented breezes and the good food.

We realized it had been years since we'd enjoyed a lovely meal on a porch. What a wonderful serendipity!
 Until next time,
Peace, love, and all
the good stuff, sweet friends.
