RUSTY CHIPPY SHOW

Hey, Y'all!
The bluebonnets are blooming along the blacktops so that must mean SPRING is almost here in south central TEXAS. And that must mean...
ANTIQUING & JUNKIN' SEASON is upon us...yay!
We've been hitting the roads picking and
finding all kinds of funky and wonderful things for our space at Hermann Antiques Mall in Brenham, TX
and for RUSTY CHIPPY SHOW coming up this weekend!

It's our third year to do this FABULOUS show at Walker Fairgrounds in Huntsville, TX and we're so honored and excited to be a part of it!
We're planning a "Flower Market" booth full of everything Garden, blooms, herbs, and vintage.

In addition, there will be fantastic vendors from all over Texas and the U.S. setting up their goods--everything from handmade jewelry to rustic farmhouse to beach cottage to retro-chic to just good old GRADE-A-JUNK!
Until next time,
Peace, love, and
all the good stuff

PLANES, SUVS & PICK-UP TRUCKS--WINTER 2015 JUNKIN ADVENTURES

Hey, Y'all! I know it may seem like I've forgotten to check in here, but it's already been a SUPER BUSY 2015! It seems I've been on the road more than at home. The proof is in the miles...15,000 frequent flyer airline miles, 175,000 miles on my good old SUV "Mattie Mae," and 1,200 miles on my brand new pick-up truck, "Beebee," that we've had for less than a month!
So, suffice it to say if someone could figure out how to type and drive SAFELY I'd be checking in here a lot more often! Here's a peek at my latest adventures--

In the past couple of months I've visited some of my favorite places in the Great Pacific NW.

Upon my arrival back in Texas in February we took a larger space at Brenham's Hermann Antiques Mall where we've had a booth since 2013. The far side front window space went from this--

to this.

I'm really enjoying all the extra room for goodies and the wonderful sunlight from the window. The gorgeous chandelier belongs to my mall neighbor and was in her parents' home. Isn't it lovely?
Just the essence of the 1880s building and this sweet town known for its delicious ice cream and abundant bluebonnets makes it a fun place to work in--also, the fact that items have been selling as fast as I can get them loaded in. (Always a great thing!)
As spring quickly approaches we are getting ready for this weekend's Rusty Chippy Show in Huntsville, TX. This will be our second year to do this fantastic show and we're taking some great vintage porch and garden items to celebrate SPRING! Hope to see you there!

Here's another SURE sign of spring in south central TEXAS-- that's right! TEXAS ANTIQUES WEEK (S) is days away!
Until next time,
Peace, love, and
all the good stuff!

INSPIRATION AT THE URBAN MARKET

Hey, Y'all! If you've got a teeny bit of the winter blues--take heart (it is Valentine's Week after all!) Spring isn't that far away. Around here in south central Texas, tree leaves are unfurlingdaffodils are blooming, and I wake up to the most celebratory song birds each morning, so Spring really must be in the air.

Another harbinger of the upcoming season is the Spring line-up of FABULOUS Antique and Vintage Market shows!! This past weekend, The Urban Market Houston Antique Show gave many of us spring junkin' fever with wonderful vendors, great antique and vintage pieces, and loads of inspiration.

My first stop at The Urban Market was to Garden Antqs Vintage. Sweet T had her usual wonderful fresh farmhouse style going full tilt!

Also from Garden Antqs Vintage, faded pink ballerina

slippers balance just right with chippy white.
Love this mix of suitcases and dishes from

More farmhouse freshness could be found at The Seed Box Antiques. Hailing from Missouri and "Dealing in useful Junque," I found plenty of gorgeous ideas in their Urban Market Houston booth.

Such a pretty vignette! Love the wonderful linen

bags they make and lavender is always a welcome addition.
I also saw lots of great pieces at Fun Dustrial's booth at The Urban Market.

Fun Dustrial's vignette really celebrates Spring!
Fun Dustrial also had this inviting vignette.
Isn't this red retro glider fabulous? Also,

love the fresh flowers in the vintage thermos'.
Flown the Coop had a bountiful abundance of playful industrial pieces, including this great sign and kitchen island made from old lockers.

More cottage and farmhouse finds were at JHill Designs' booth. Lots of galvanized pots, buckets, and cans mixed with

fresh flowers and wonderful shabby porch furniture. Doesn't this double rocker just beg for  a good friend and a long visit?

Inside their booth more antique garden loveliness awaited...

This flower fairy just makes me happy!

Even a little rain couldn't dampen the smiles and beauty of all the beautiful garden vignettes at The Urban Market Houston Antique Show.

And even better...JUNKIN' SHOW SEASON HAS OFFICIALLY BEGUN!!

Until next time,
Peace, Love, and all
the Good Stuff, y'all!!
