Hey, Y'all!
It's hot-sweltering-watermelon-goodness-big-ole-moon-groovin-SUMMERTIME and I'm ready for a little COOL JUNK Hippy fun!
I've been hand-picking all sorts of fabulous, needful, PINKY things as we've traveled the blacktops across Washington and Texas

If you enjoy farmhouse style, French style, cottage style, rusty relics, vintage prom dresses, garden items, hand-made originals, funky goods, cowgirl sassy wearables or architecturals, then head out to

Texas Highway 237
Saturday morning to the Lone Star Gallery

for JUNK Hippy at Round Top where incredible vendors, fantastic goods, and delicious food await!
  Until next time,
Peace, love, and all
the good stuff, sweet friends.

BEAUTIFUL JUNKIN' LIFE

Hey, Y'all!
What a fantastic time we had this past Saturday at JUNK Hippy
Roadshow
There were three buildings FULL of happy shoppers and incredible vendors, not to mention yummy food trucks in the parking lot.

This was one of those FUN vintage markets that remind me why it's worth driving the long miles to
search for just the right items and why I spend hours preparing and planning for my booth. It's such a reward when it all comes together--the stuff I've
brought, the customers, the venue, and the great team who make it all happen at JUNK Hippy!
On Saturday, many shoppers told me they read this
blog (THANKS!!) and saw items I had posted on Facebook and came to buy those items at JUNK Hippy--(and THANKS again!) Others mentioned all
Garden Antqs Vintage at JUNK Hippy Roadshow
the multiple inspiring booths they had seen. There were those who were on a mission for specific items. There were those who had the fun of discovering a needful thing they didn't know they needed until they saw it at JUNK Hippy. There were those who
were creating garden vignettes to welcome spring. There were those who were looking to add some vintage character to their homes.
There were lots of happy people enjoying the lovely day, the funky vibe, and everything else at the JUNK Hippy Roadshow. Enthusiastic shoppers are the best!
Many THANKS

to everyone who came out to Rosenberg's Ft. Bend County Fairgrounds on Saturday.
Y'all remind me why I love doin' what I do--it's a beautiful JUNKIN' life and I'm so blessed.

Until next time,
Peace, love, and all
the good stuff, sweet friends

DEEP IN THE HEART OF TEXAS

Hey, Y'all! I've been putting the miles on my good old SUV, Mattie Mae, driving from Fredericksburg to Brenham with more than a few stops in between. My mom and I recently drove out to the January Fredericksburg Trade Days to see lots of great JuNkIn' friends and their fabulous wares.
Let me tell ya, the stars at night may be big in bright
deep in the heart of Texas, but the chippy,
rusty, and lovingly worn are plentiful deep in
the heart of Texas too.
Garden Antqs Vint now has a permanent space in Barn One at FTD. Here's a few peeks from her
January vignettes. She promises a fun, different look and even more incredible pieces in February!

As we exited Barn One, here's the view we saw...
I'm thinking only in Texas can you shop for
great JuNk and see longhorns at the same time!
As this is the year our sweet girl graduates high school, many of our recent travels include destinations with universities. There's a little less time to JuNk, but there's always time to enjoy a beautiful, warm January day and a walk through a San Marcos park.

In other news, I have finally written the two best words every author loves, "THE END." However, in many ways it's just the beginning of edits and revisions for VINTAGE MURDER The Next Jimmie Rae Flea Market Mystery. Please stay tuned, I'm still planning a spring release date.
When I'm not hitting the JuNkIn' trail, visiting universities with Sweet Girl, or editing VM, I'm usually taking another load of treasures to our booths
We'll also be setting up GARDEN CAT VINTAGE at

JUNK HIPPY ROADSHOW in Rosenberg Feb. 22 and at the

RUSTY, CHIPPY, VINTAGE, HIPPY & GARDEN SHOW in Huntsville March 15 &16.

Next time I'll be sharing pictures from our travels to the lovely Pacific NW.

Until then,
Peace, love, and all
the good stuff, sweet friends!

NEW ADVENTURES FOR A NEW YEAR

Hey, Y'all!
As we celebrate this brand new year we look forward to new adventures down the road.
Garden Cat Vintage still has a fun little booth at Hermann Antique Mall in Brenham, TX, but now we've also taken a larger booth at Circle P Antiques and Collectibles in Navasota, TX. At Circle P we have enough room to spread out our vintage garden furniture and other needful things. Here's a peek at our booth there--

And here's a peek at the many other wonderful booths at Circle P.

I'm excited about 2014 and all the new roads to be traveled and even more of the old, familiar roads.

So far in addition to our booths at Hermann Antique Mall and Circle P Antique and Collectibles we are
going to be at JUNK Hippy Roadshow in Rosenberg, TX  the end of February and the
RUSTY, CHIPPY, VINTAGE, HIPPY & GARDEN SHOW in March!!
And with a lot of hard work and a little luck, VINTAGE MURDER A Jimmie Rae Flea Market Mystery will be available this spring.
Here's to a fabulous adventure for us all in 2014! Happy New Year, sweet friends!
Until next time,
Peace, love, and all
the good stuff to y'all!
